Book Description

January 1, 2009
Powerfully sensual and potently erotic, the Chanku are an exotic race of shape shifters. Their intent is never to harm, only to delight in one another's sexual passion and pleasure. But someone or something is out to hurt them, and after attacks against all three packs across the country, all targeted at women and children, Anton Cheval calls the Chanku home to find out who is orchestrating these assaults - and to stop them. But as the Chanku come together to defend themselves, something even more unexpected happens. The combined energy of so many libidinous shape shifters creates an orgy of uncontrollable desire. Now Anton wonders if the Chanku's powers of seduction have merely increased in the presence of so many of their kind, or whether they have discovered an important and unexpected legacy from their mystical and mysterious past...

More About the Author

I've been married for almost forty years to a terrific man who puts up with the idiosyncrasies of life with a writer. We raised two really great kids who are now wonderful adults with terrific spouses--and they've produced six grandchildren for us. ALL perfect, of course!

I currently write for two Kensington imprints with my long-running Aphrodisia erotic romance series Wolf Tales (which includes the Sexy Beast anthologies I-VIII) and the new erotic Dream Catchers series, as well as The DemonSlayers series from Kensington Zebra and coming in 2013, a new series called Spirit Wild. This one will follow the lives of the second generation of Chanku shapeshifters, beginning with Lily Cheval's story in TO LOVE A DARK WOLF.

5.0 out of 5 stars It was just a dream not supposed to happen...., January 18, 2009
By
This review is from: Wolf Tales VII (Paperback)
Wolf Tales VII (Wolf Tales (Aphrodisia)) (Bk. 7)

I cried and cried. Where to begin?.?.

Anton has a dream. He fears that this dream may come true and Keisha is aware of this dream but convices himm to let go of his fears that nothing can become between them. Until...

All 3 packs: Maine, San Francisco and Montana (as well as wolf sanctuary) were attacked. The attacks were so fierce, Anton knew it was time to call all Chanku for a meeting. Everyone comes to Anton's well known Montana ranch. Anton has a problem fitting everyone into a room and several years ago he had been working on a project in the wine cellar.

Adam becomes very useful and also becomes very knowledgeable in his true Chanku heritage and skills. If it weren't for Oliver and Anton, Adam would have never known who he really is. Man, his powers really become needed in this book. There are a few other attacks while everyone is at the house. Igmutaka also comes out in the book like you wouldn't believe and becomes his own panther. Keisha and Tia have a lifethreatening situation but no one is in the house at the time. Something is happening to Lily and Keisha is sending out a mental call to Anton and he answers but then his voice is gone. Adam has been called to Anton's help. Adam of course is a healer. Anton has been shot. Does he die or does he live?

This book only took me a few hours to read. I could not put the book down. This again was another good book and cannot wait for the next book to come out to read about the next Chanku people that Tia discovers in the park on her way to visit Keisha's memorial garden. Oh, and the sex, I was glad to read more about the plot and all the excitement rather than read page after page after page of sex scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story in a wonderful series, December 30, 2008
By
This review is from: Wolf Tales VII (Paperback)
The Chanku are about to face their biggest battle and greatest challenges, and they've all come together to do just that.

This is another great addition to the Wolf Tales series. Someone has tried to kidnap Keisha and Xandi's babies in Montana. And the Maine and San Francisco packs are attacked as well.

Anton calls everyone together to figure out what's going on is also facing personal doubts of his own.

This is a terrific story. All of the previous characters from all the Wolf Tales stories are here and they're working (and playing :) together to protect their kind. There are some scary moments for everyone but the story does have a great ending...and a wonderful promise of what's coming next.

Highly recommended and as usual, steaming hot!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, May 5, 2009
This review is from: Wolf Tales VII (Paperback)
I agree with tootie, I just expected so much more. The past Wolf Tales books had much better sex and conflicts than this one. This installment could have easily been a 100-page read without the reiterated lines; too much narrative and not enough dialogue. I had to skim through a lot of it, certainly the worse installment of the series.
