Another great story in one of my favorite series!,
By
This review is from: Wolf Tales VIII (Paperback)
Many of my favorite characters are highlighted in this story as the Chanku bring in the new members in from San Francisco. Logan, Jazzy and Decon go to Anton's and Beth, Nick and Matt go to the Wolf Sanctuary.
Anton is still dealing with doubts after what happened in the last book. Keisha, Stefan and Xandi are there to help him figure it out and it's great to see how the new members fit in. Adam and Logan share healing info and Deacon is healing. But someone is watching... There's a great mystery here - I'm not giving it away - and we get to catch up with many members of the pack. Wolf Tales VIII is another wonderful installment in Kate Douglas's fabulous series!

"Ravenous Reader",
This review is from: Wolf Tales VIII (Paperback)
It wasn't a massive page turner but I liked it. The strong engaging plot comprised of intense character conflicts I've come to enjoy from this series were absent in this installment. Centered around the premise that two men are better than one, Deacon and Matt's, the two Beta wolves of the pack, story took the backseat while reiterated spotlighted events from previous installments rode shotgun! With the exception of most of the San Francisco pack, most of the characters were revisited along with a summary of their previous experiences that consumed most of the pages. The redundancy was this ravenous reader's buzz kill!!! P.S. Sexually explicit: ménage, m/m, f/m, D&S was some good stuff, that at least was not a disappointment!!!

fresh spellbound thriller,
This review is from: Wolf Tales VIII (Paperback)
The Chanku packs have grown by six newcomers who need mentoring. Three are sent to learn at Anton's Montana estate; the others journey to the Colorado wolf sanctuary owned by Ulrich and Millie.
All six have come from the mean streets and thus they are tough and ready to kick butt; that is when they are not licking butt. The old-timers at both sites look forward to some sex, respite and sex after surviving some nasty assaults (see WOLF TALES VII), but also understand the importance of mentoring the arrogant rookies using bravado to hide their fears. However, a mysterious newcomer arrives in Colorado shaking the balance and forcing Millie to finally look back at her past. Following the climatic action of book VII, Kate Douglas proves she is a wizard as she provides a fresh spellbound thriller by bringing in the next generation. The story line is fast-paced and filled with sexual encounters of a werewolf kind. Fans of the saga will appreciate Ms. Douglas' new spin as somehow she makes each of her seemingly ever expanding cast seem different yet as a paranormal species appear real. Harriet Klausner

Real Love and Real Hot,

What can I say, but that I love Kate Douglas. I have read all the Wolf Tales Series. In Wolf Tales VIII, there is love, redemption, and of course the hot and steamy love scenes in the book. The book has sex, but it gives you more information about Chanku...I would love to be an alpha-female.

I understand that the books are explicitly hot - so subject matter is second to the sex, but she seem to be repeating the plots from previous books and combined them into this one book. Can't Kate Douglas find another reason for the Chanku to hook-up so much and the same people gets a little stale. But I'm still going to continue to read any new material she writes!

I like this author, have been reading her for years, of course love the Chanku series, but this wasn't one of the better storylines for me. But it was nice seeing the changes within the series.
