The W key has a noticeable nib on it for quick hand placement.

There isn't much of a 'click' on key presses, and occasionally the keys don't respond to being constantly held down.

I've been looking for a good one-hand option for my online gaming to go along with my Logitech trackball mouse. As a person that uses a computer most of the time he's awake, alleviating wrist stress is also important.

The Warrior Gaming Keypad is the best option I've found and has everything I need for performing in-game actions when I don't need to type responses to others. The board is 9" in diameter. The bottom has 5 plastic pads for friction as well as two flip legs for raising the board at a slight angle. When raised, it can move around if nudged since the raised legs don't have any pads or otherwise friction resistance attachments.

The keyboard has your core gaming keys: WASD, Alt, Shift, Left Ctrl, Right Ctrl, TAB, 0-9, and F1-F12. In addition it has volume control buttons, K, F, R, G, T, ~ (tilde), and others. The W key has a noticeable nib on it for quick hand placement.

There is one major con to the board, which is having to get used to the placement of the keys on the keyboard. It's not a normal keyboard and if you're not quick at picking up new key placements this is probably going to slow you down more than aid you in the short term. I'm still getting used to the 0 key being before the 1 key as opposed to its normal placement on the standard keyboard. Furthermore, if you're looking for a left-hand based gaming keypad, you may experience a greater learning curve since key placement primarily mimics the left-hand placement on a normal keyboard.

If you have a keyboard with USB expansion slots, this does work since it doesn't use up much power. I'm using a

Well made, nice looking.. Light weight (not a plus tends to move under your hand when in use) ...Hooks up no problem via usb, no software needed...

The layout is just too small for my big meat hooks...

I would like color coded keys (I am really a visual person) when I glance down to verify my finger placement...

Needs sticky feet, tends to slide around.

I can't say that I have had a lot of experience with other products like it, but it works extremely well. There is no software, which was a plus for me. Overall, the key layout is what I would want, and after a few nights of gaming the vast majority of the keys were easy to find. However, the function keys seem entirely useless, and there are two 'CTRL' keys next to each other. There isn't much of a 'click' on key presses, and occasionally the keys don't respond to being constantly held down. It's a well designed product if what you are looking for is easy access to multiple keys and not customizable software.

I think this is an excellent gaming controller. I have one that's well over 7 years old. It's been used for thousands of hours of gaming and it still works like new. I got it second hand from my brother in late 2006. He used it for years and passed it on to me. It's been with me through COD II,IV,&V, Left 4 dead I&II, Killing Floor, Borderlands I&II, Portal I&II, every episode & add on for Half Life, and more. I have almost 2000 hours in Left 4 Dead I&II alone and easily that many hours in the various COD's. As you may be able to tell, I play a lot, probably too much. And I'm a big guy with heavy hands. If this thing can take me pounding on it for thousands of hours and keep going, its pretty hard to break.

I'm always looking for a controller that fits my big hands. But I haven't found one any better than this.
After a few years I started wondering if I would need a replacement and that's when I found out that Wolfking wasn't making these anymore. I bought several more here on Amazon for $40 plus some change. (that includes shipping) That was in 2011. I'm still using my original pad. No issues have surfaced yet.

A reviewer said the Timberwolf gaming keyboard was better made. The Timberwolf gaming keyboard was designed and manufactured by the same people. It's a gaming keyboard with this gamepad made on the left side. I'd have considered getting the Timberwolf keyboard but it doesn't have a numpad.

Other reviewers have complained about learning a new key layout. That's the whole point of this pad. It moves the primary keys that you need and puts them at your fingertips. It does take some adjusting to learn the new layout, but you'd have to do that with any purpose built gaming controller.

I don't know how long Amazon can keep these in stock, so I ordered 14. Ever since I have found these they have been my perfect device for playing ANY FPS game (CoD, WoW, etc). They don't do so well with strategy games (control button is too far away for me). But I haven't seen WolfKing products since mid-2000, as far as I know they are out of business.

I tried using this keypad to play World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online. I was not impressed. I had hoped that I would become accustomed to the layout but with the oddly shaped and placed keys (and some of the keys are very small) it was ever a battle trying to find my place on the keypad.

Very well manufactured and sturdy. The key action was just like that of a conventional keyboard, just not a great layout and pattern for how like to play.
