Wow. Definitely shows how much they've grown.,

This album really shows what Evergreen Terrace is capable of. In my opinion, Sincerity... was a disappointment overall albeit a few notable tracks. This album, however is just awesome. Heavy tracks like "Bad Energy Troll," "Rip This!" and "Rolling Thunder Mental Illness" just get you pumped for a pit, while songs like "Where There Is Fire We Will Carry Gasoline," "Starter," and "The Damned" leave you with an epic and yet peaceful feeling. I love how ET can effortlessly mix heavy sounds with awe-inspiring melodies that make their songs memorable. Overall, this album is excellent and a must have. Simply awesome.

I have liked Evergreen terrace for a while now and have downloaded most o their songs but this is the first cd I have bought from them. From beginning to the end, the cd is very hard and heavy and i can honestly say that every song is great. This album with definitely get you pumped up.

So they've strayed a little bit from their previous hardcore roots, but ET are better than ever with their first disc on Metal Blade Records. They still riff, break it down, and scream their lungs out, but now the band has catchy choruses,
anthemic verses, and ripping guitar solos that send them into a league of their own. An all-around solid album by a great live band!

its wierd that ET moved to Metalblade records. I dont konw if its that important of a detail, as they stay true to the hardcore sound with the thrash influences, without being metalcore. This album is easily twice as good as their last one, as it is twice as fast, twice as heavy, and the melodic parts are actually good in this one. If you've ever liked this band, you'll like this one for sure.
The opener is pretty Every Time I Die-like ("Hot Damn" era). The breakdowns arent bad, but not that exciting and I think the album would have still been as heavy without em.

Evergreen terrace are the masters of metalcore/hardcore sound with some emo-like parts. This is their best release to date! I can't stop listening to this CD. Great breakdowns, effects, bass drops, a true masterpiece. I like the different song structure in the Track 5# 'Where There Is Fire We Will Carry Gasoline' and track 10# 'The Damned', where the song ends with a great solo/melody, you just can't wait for the song to finish. Excellent album - A must have!
