Gameplay is classic first person shooter with arcade elements that made Wolfenstein 3d a hit on the PC and so much fun to play! Collect items for points, and shoot your way to freedom from the Castle Wolfenstein! Graphics are an 8/10, very nice, better than the PC version, yet not as polished as the Atari Jaguar version. Sound is 9/10, remade soundtracks are not always necessary and the original Wolfenstein 3d music was cool, but the remade soundtrack in this version just fits right in with the action. The sound effects of the guns are awesome, just as cool as the PC version, the voices sound authentic with German accents, yet some more variety in the phrases would have been welcome. Certain sounds are different than the PC like when certain items and guns are collected, but the sounds that replaced them are just as good. Control is about a 9/10, where as more buttons would have been nice, weapon selection is a combo routine, and strafing is done with the shoulder buttons respectively, the control is very easy to learn and the action is never hindered by the 3DO's controller( reviewed with the Panasonic REAL control pad ). You get alot of levels in this version, the original 30 plus many more! Even though this FPS is dated, it never gets old, the updates done to this version make it even more classic than the PC in some regards, it's a classic Frag fest that arcade gamers and classic DOS gamers will appreciate.
