It has to be downloaded and activated on Steam. All you are buying is the activation code from Amazon.

Yes, your hardware is adequate for maintaining 60FPS @ 1920x1080. Frame rates may drop below 60FPS if you elect to max out all of the options within the graphics settings. Make note that this game is currently locked at 60FPS even with V-Sync (or G-Sync) turned off. This may get changed in a future patch, but for now it is what it is...a limitation of the game's graphics engine. This is most likely due to the fact that it is a console port. Weather you buy the physical CD(DVD?)purchase the code or download from a game site, you will have to go through Steam for proof of purchase!!..In other words, all roads lead to Steam!!...

If you already have a Steam account it will automatically show up on Steam after download. I don't recall having to do anything special. If you don't have a Steam account you'll need to get one.

since it is connected to your steam account it can be shared on accounts that you authorize...though it can only be played on one at a time.

Where did you buy your Wolfenstein The New Order game from? What the specifics of the free game offer? If you bought the game off of Steam, then the bonus content included with the purchase are available for download immediately after completion of the online transaction. Check your Steam library, and you should see any bonus content available for download.
