About the Author

Stephen Silberstein is Director of the Jefferson Headache Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Professor of Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University. Richard Lipton is Director of the Headache Unit at Montefiore Medical Center and Professor and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. David Dodick is Director of the Headache Program and Professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I purchased this book to help understand the frequent and severe headaches that my wife was experiencing. The book is apparently the #1 primer on headaches. Unfortunately, the book was not ideal for our needs. It is really a textbook and not a book designed for the layperson to reference quickly. Because the book is written for the medical professional , it is nearly impossible to understand the medical terms. The book was ordered as "used" and arrived in fair condition, with one corner of the hardback cover bent.
