Not bad, but a little too rushed to me...,

I'm a HUGE fan of the fantastic anime, Wolf's Rain. So, it would come as no suprise that I would want to get my hands on the manga adaption to it...even though I had heard from many other fans that it was disappointing to them.
I liked it. It's loyal to the anime for the first chapter or two, but quickly branches off and does it's own thing. Becoming a very different story. I honestly enjoyed the new version of the tale, and felt that the only real flaw with the 2 volume manga was that it was too rushed...thus lacking in character development and causing the story to be a little weak and confusing. I think it would have been much better had it been a few volumes longer in all honestly, and do feel that other fans would have appreciated it more had that been the case. If you're a fan of the anime, it's worth checking out...but I'd suggest checking your local library for it first if you're unsure about your enjoyment of it. |
