4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Art, Extremely Melodromatic, March 16, 2011

This review is from: Wolf's Rain, Volume 1 [WOLFS RAIN V01 V01] (Paperback)
I'll get straight to the point here, everything in the first volume of the manga is in the anime. But not everything in the anime is in the manga. Which is normal for adaptations like this. The artwork is what attracted me. It's detailed and consistent through both volumes, with notes on the design in the back of the book.

As far as story content goes, it's just a bit too emotionally dramatic for my taste. I know the anime is like that, too, but the manga seems to take it one step further. Eh, that's just my opinion. But the characters and locations all have the same personalities as in the anime. Especially in this first volume. I'd recommend checking it out, especially if you loved the anime.
