This is a great horn, hands down. Makes a sound like a Mack truck, and is compact, and easy to install. Just read the instructions. All of the negative feedback thus far is from people who either have no understanding whatsoever of 12v automotive electrical systems, or did not read the simple installation instructions. It took me 20 minutes to install this horn, and I even had to run a new wire back to the place that I decided to mount the horn from the old horn's location. This horn will pay for itself a thousand times over the first time it keeps that Chevy Suburban from running you off the road at night.
It's also good for scaring animals and small children, if you happen to be into that kind of thing.

this horn is sweet! The Mazda in which I installed it came with a stock horn that couldnt frighten a squirrell. Besides the small space I had to work with, installation was a piece of cake. One suggestion, make sure you have a 20-amp circuit. The first time I layed on the horn for a driver who pulled out in front of me I fried my 15 amp fuse.

I have had this horn on my Triumph Bonneville America for about a year. It is extremely loud and attracts alot of attention. It was easy to install and has proved to be very reliable.

I use this horn on several motorcycles. It is compact enough to fit well, and loud enough for its size.

Those who want a louder or lower pitch horn will have to look at a larger, more expensive horn.

However, since they have outsourced their production to China, the quality and reliability have gone down the toilet. The last one I bought was a terrible disappointment, both in quality of construction, sound and longevity.

The chrome plated model is a joke, now. Mine turned green in a couple months in a damp environment. I ride to work, so it sits out in the weather in the parking lot.

Too bad. I really like my earlier Italian ones.

I intsalled this on my 91 miata, I had to drill a new hole and add a ground wire, took about 30 min. to install, and now my car horn sounds like a Ferrari horn (now I just need the engine).

Mounted this on my scooter to replace the "meep meep" factory horn. Wanted to scare/wake up lane-merging car drivers. Only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't vouch for it's durability yet.

What it is/does:
-Louder than what you might call a "normal" car horn. I'd say 2x louder or a little less is fair. Meets my expectations/needs for sure.
-It hurts your ears when you're next to it and I can feel the air pressure/sound waves hit my ankles near where it is mounted. So it's legit.
-Fairly instant-on, despite what another review said about a delay
-Somewhat big- the service guys had to get really creative finding a space to mount it, but they did.
-Meets my expectations for getting car's attention. For sure.
- Great value

What it isn't/doesn't do:
- Won't make you sound like a semi or huge truck. It's higher-pitched, about like a car horn. Think if a hand-held airhorn and a truck air horn had a child. It's this. Maybe leaning towards hand-held, but it doesn't sound embarassing.
- Be as loud as a semi/huge truck. Its plenty loud. A big improvement, louder and more "piercing" than a car horn. But it's not train horn. It's not going to make your ears bleed. Think about the effect you want.

Bottom Line:
- A great and affordable upgrade to a car horn or for scooters/cycles. Will get driver's attention. Maybe not if they have the stereo absolutely cranked. Plenty loud, but not an earth-shattering train horn. Won't make you sound like a Mack truck.

The End.

Update: Rode with this mounted to the underside (covered) of my scooter for an entire season (May-December). Some rain, some temperatures below 30 degrees F. Absolutely no problems to this point. Performs consistently and well in a variety of conditions.

This horn is great. I installed it in less than 5 minutes and the only portions of the install that slowed me down was figuring out what to do with the end of the old wiring and mounting the horn because the transmission cooler is right below the mounting bracket on my truck. The horn is really loud and no one expects it to come from my ford ranger. First time I used it was to wake a guy up at a green light that was texting on his cell phone. He dropped the cell phone and almost wet himself. Great horn for both getting stupid drivers' attention and just to play around with. I put pictures up of the horn mounted on my truck if you want to see it.

This was simple and easy to install, you just have to read the instructions :) I installed this in a 2000 Xterra, and it had a one-wire OEM, so I had to run a (-) to the WOLO 419 horn as well. The sound difference was amazing. I don't think anyone will have a problem hearing me now. **The stock horn has a 7.5amp fuse and this horn will draw between 10 and 15 amps, so I made sure my existing wiring could handle the increased amperage and bumped that fuse up to a 15amp**
