Product Description

The most advanced GPS geographical tag accessory for your Nikon D700, D300, D200, D2Hs, D2Xs, D3 or Fujifilm S5 Pro Photo. The Wolverine GEO is a GPS accessory that attaches to the latest Nikon or Fuji DSLR's to tag your exact location every time you take a picture. No need to guess where you took a picture, no need to manually associate each picture with location. The Wolverine GEO takes this burden away and map-tag your exact location onto your picture wherever you are. Paired with a compatible digital SLR camera from Fuji or Nikon, the Geo presents a user with the ability to embed in images geospatial data in the form of GPS coordinates in the image's metadata during exposure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Addition for Outdoor Photographers, May 16, 2009

This review is from: Wolverine GEO-35/GEO35 Geotag GPS Receiver for Nikon and Fuji DSLR's (Electronics)
I have always attempted to track where I took a photo manually. When I purchased the Nikon D300 and learned of it's capability to accept GPS input and record it in the metadata with the photograph I was eager to try it.

After looking at several options and not wanting to spend a great deal, I purchased the Wolverine GEO-35. I am very please with my selection. It works exactly as stated.

Pros:
- Small and light
- Comes with velcro and a plastic shoe to attach it to the hot shoe of the camera
- On/off switch saves the camera battery
- Flashing/steady light indicates the GPS status

Cons:
- Takes a long time to establish a connection and start recording the GPS info. Although I have yet to time it, it is much slower than my Garmin eTrex GPS
- You are unable to use the flash when the GPS is attached. I am hoping to figure out a way around this.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wolverine GEO-35/GEO35 Geotag GPS Receiver for Nikon and Fuji DSLR's (Electronics)
Since purchasing this item in June of 2009. The first one lasted about two or three months. It died while I was on vacation. First it slowly started to work intermittently then just stopped. I sent it in for repair, I was sent back a replacement in about 2 weeks. The replacement again, faulted on me. So once again I paid to ship it to California for repair or replacement. Once again they replaced it. The latest one no longer works, all in all each one lasted an average of 4 months. The warranty is now up and I'm left with nothing. Do not purchase this product, the quality is garbage.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wolverine Geotagger...don't buy it!, June 25, 2010
This review is from: Wolverine GEO-35/GEO35 Geotag GPS Receiver for Nikon and Fuji DSLR's (Electronics)
Hard to count on a product when you are on trips all over the world relying on it
and it just dies. Have sent it back twice. I can no longer recommend this product on my websites.
