Wolverine should ashamed to market something as poor quality as this shoe.

I've owned 2 pairs of these shoes. The first pair was fantastic - lightweight, comfortable, and durable. It lasted 2 years on the construction site before finally wearing out. I liked them so much that I bought a second pair. What a disappointment! First, the fit was not the same and the construction felt cheaper. But once I broke it in, it too was fantastic until the sole started to separate from the toe after only wearing them into the office for six months. The shoes never saw a construction site. Wolverine customer service told me, "This is not a regular occurrence with our footwear" and left it at that. If Wolverine doesn't feel compelled to stand behind its product, then I suppose I don't feel compelled to purchase another pair. Disappointing.

This is the third pair of Wolverine shoes I have tried since they moved manufacturing to China from the USA. Prior to moving their manufacturing offshore, any time you put on a new pair of Wolverine shoes/boots they felt like they were completly broken in and totall comfortable from the first time. The quality of the china wolverine is poor. They look the same, but the feel is totally bad. I do not know what QA measures got kicked to the side, but these shoes should not be allowed to be sold. Shoes are not a piece of clothing where comfort is not a consideration (tee shirt). The comfort of shoes/boots is upmost and in this wolverine fails. I would not recommend these to anyone. Why can't the former USA manufactures figure out that most Americans will pay a little more (in this case x 2) for quality American made products?

I have always worn Wolverine Oxfords with Durashock technology at work. They are usually very comfortable and dressy enough to work with a pair of khakis. The best part, however, is the Durashock cushion. It really feels like you're walking on air bags. No other shoe I've tried even comes close.

That's why I was so disappointed in this last pair of Wolverine Oxfords. They certainly look nice and the shoes will wear well (IE - they are well made), but the Durashocks in these shoes are nowhere near as comfortable as they were in my old pair. In fact, these shoes feel just like Rockports or "gel soul" shoes. Mediocre at best.

I sincerely hope Wolverine will return to the old Durashock souls - otherwise, it's not worth the insane amount of effort I had to go to to FIND these shoes! (Almost no stores carry them. You have to order online and hope for the best.)

    I give them a solid C

I have worn wolverine boots as a mechanic for 15 years. The last few pairs have been more and more uncomfortable and lasted only a few months. I wore these for 2 hours and would have been better off barefoot, they were hard as the floor. I'm sad to say this product is no longer worth buying.

Despite the reviews and overall ratings of these shoes, I STILL went ahead and placed an order. After all, I was sure I wouldn't experience any of THOSE problems. And in fact, I didn't. Nope, I had an all new one!

The shoes looked great, and the material seemed fairly top-notch. However, call me whatever you want, but I feel its not an unreasonable expectation that the left shoe and the right shoe be the same size (and, say, match each other). They were both marked with the identical size. The left shoe fit perfectly. The right shoe was noticeably wider and the toe was noticeably more rounded. My foot had extra room on either side. Way too loose! The right shoe was larger than the left! Not only was the fit different, but the appearance was different. No way could they have been a matched set.

I think this is a stain on what at least used to be an outstanding shoe.

I have previously used about five pairs of this oxford and now I find that they are being put together differently. The back of the shoe is now slanted forward from bottom to top. Also, the side pieces that hold the lace holes are further down the side of the shoe. These changes make it fit quite differently, pushing the foot forward along the insole. . Also, the leather seems to be of an inferior quality. Therefore I had to return the shoes. I had also found the same construction in a pair that I had found in a local store.

For the price they were just OK. I had to change out the inserts with gel ones because the original ones hurt my feet with very little cushioning. I am on my feet all day and walk 3-4 miles a day, so my shoes take a beating . I don't think I would buy these again.

Not as comfortable to my feet as the same style by Timberland. Seems to be somewhat heavier as well. I will be shopping for a Timberland replacement.
