This is a "volume?" It felt more like one issue.,

The interior art was a bad ripoff of Barry Windsor Smith and maybe John Romita Junior but with a computer generated airbrush glaze that made me dizzy. Every skin rendition had the same weird shimmer. Anyway, I bought this issue as my introduction to Daken based on the strength of the Daken entry in Wikipedia. It is only OKAY. The Wiki entry is actually a more satisfying read. It would cost hundreds of dollar to read every Daken appearance to try to get the full picture. Considering what he does in this issue, er ... "volume," - his evil wasn't communicated with much impact - but the followup Wolverine issues "Dark Reign" written by the same author, different artist is more informative and action-packed. I finished this volume very very quickly so I would not say that this volume was worth full cover price. Try to get this for around five dollars and under in some remainder bin at a store or more likely at a small local convention.

OK, so I have to say I was anxious to 'meet' Wolverine's son, so I was very excited to read this TPB. And it worked for me. I still have a lot of questions, but I guess that's the idea, right? It's a good story.
