5.0 out of 5 stars Really worth a shot., May 26, 2007

This review is from: Wolves & Leopards (Audio CD)
I was amazed to see that this classic of an all-time reggae great had only one, very lousy, review. This album features some of Dennis's best songs. Later he would go on to produce a whole load of rather run-of-the-mill lovers rock songs but this is where he started: roots reggae at its finest. Emanuel, the first song on the album, is simply sublime and a real example of the depths that reggae can reach in feeling and quality. This really should be considered as one of the 'great' albums outside of the genre of reggae. Like so much music that came out of Jamiaca in the 70s it's usually overlooked by the British and American music press. They've improved and we no longer only here Reggae = Bob Marly. There's still along way to go though.
To finish, if you like Dennis and don't have this, buy it immediatly. If you're new to reggae and want to start exploring, this is certainly a good place to start.
