This is an excellent study. We are doing it in a group and it is wonderful

Our group is doing this study without the video. It can be done, but the video may add a lot more to it. If you can't afford the video, I suggest supplimenting your study with her book by the same name. The book fills in the gaps. We also found that within one week she repeats herself in the questions. The question may be worded differently, but it is the same message. Perhaps repetition helps one to learn the lesson more. I highly recommend this study. It will bring you closer to God.

Great Book - Highly Recommend for any woman wanting to mold her life around Christ Jesus and biblical teachings. It is a hard hitting book that really helps you to dive into the bible finding scripture and reading stories. The workbook offers 5 nights of study lessons that take about 20-30 minutes. You really work your way around the bible in each lesson. The author also offers a Yes, but how section that helps you to apply your lesson to life as you know it here and now. You really don't need to DVD study in order to complete the workbook but it is beneficial if you have it or can purchase it. The DVD lessons are one time weekly and they last about 25-30 minutes. Can't say enough good things about this workbook.

I used this book last year in the small group I lead at my church and was not disappointed. The theme of this book touches on the priorities we should have as women of God. While it focuses on aspects like being a godly wife and mother I think that this is a great read for any woman because it helps you prepare your heart for those things if you aren't already there. I know that I felt convicted with each chapter and found places in my own life where God was wanting me to realign my priorities with His. It was great to do in a group because we were able to share and learn from each other but it would also be a great personal study. I highly recommend getting the workbook as well if you are wanting more in depth questions and application to the Bible.

I love Elizabeth George books. They are so practical but this one is also uplifting and encouraging you to get on track with your walk with God. I can read this book once a year and continue to get blessed by it.

This book is a must read. It's amazing how "A Woman After God's Own Heart" has changed my view on everyday task, and even my husband. I keep this book by my bed and even though I have already read it, I still flip though it when I feel the need. It's a great book to help you in your walk with the Lord~

Just completed this study with my small group....lots of information and it seemed everyone was transformed in at least one of the lessons. Elizabeth George's style on the companion DVDs takes some getting used to but what she says is definitely worth the listen. This study is worth the time for every level especially for new Christian women who need guidelines and have lots of questions on God's expectations for them as women.

My mother-in-law recently asked me to order a set of these workbooks for a course she was teaching. I had a brief opportunity to learn a little bit about the original book by Elizabeth George and the Bible Study program that expands on each chapter. It is a very well-rounded program that is grounded in The Word and if each lesson is followed regularly it is a great opportunity for spiritual growth and a deepening walk with the Lord. Of course I am not a woman so I can't speak for how it relates to issues and struggles that an individual lady may face. I have been through enough Bible Study programs, however, to where I can tell if a program or tool is useful or not. This is a very good workbook. My mother-in-law also loves the series and has expressed to me all of the ladies in her class are growing from week to week.

The book is what I expected and the remarks were good a little more clear but havent come across any highlighting yet but I may missed and did find a little stain but totally a good and usuable book thanks

At first glance really loved the Bible study. However, was not aware a video was needed to get full benefit. Would be nice if could stand alone
