As is the case with most Bacharach albums, there are enough hooks to keep these songs running through your mind long after you listen to the album.

I first purchased this album on vinyl in the late 70s. It was recommended in one of the "audiophile" magazines to which I subscribed at the time. I was delighted when I first listened to it. It's not the typical pop sound that I associated with Burt Bacharach.

The Houston Symphony shares the artist billing with Bacharach, and it really is the star of the album. This collection features some passionate, emotional music - sometimes even a bit jazzy. It also has haunting vocals by Carly Simon and Libby Titus.

As is the case with most Bacharach albums, there are enough hooks to keep these songs running through your mind long after you listen to the album.

I was very pleased to find this on CD (finally). Even though it's a bit pricey due to being an import, it was a no-brainer for me to buy it.

I wish the packaging were a little different - it comes in an unusually thin cardboard sleeve which is slightly taller than a standard jewel case when stood on end - but that's as close to a complaint as I can come with this purchase. I recommend it for anyone who appreciates music with an enduring appeal.

Mostly instumental music with Libby T. and Carly S. singing on 2 tunes. Burt is one of the few composers who could pull off something this amazing. You simply have to hear this if you haven't already. Crank it up and feel the whole orchestra/rhythm section really play together.Funky grooves with wonderful lush string and brass arranging. The great Warren Luening and Robben Ford who play on it I'm sure would agree. Thanks Burt, you da man.

While not as good as his 60's work and even somewhat less good than Futures, this is not a bad album at all. It has really aged well. I bought it on cassette back when it came out and did not like it then buut now it has really grown on me. The lush orchestration is beautiful and the recording splendid. It is slightly pricey though.

I knew in my heart when I first came upon Burt Bacharch Futures and Burt Bacharach Woman, I found two records that would rank in my top 5 favorite albums for life.

For many decades I had a working list of top ten favorite albums that displayed my wide variety of taste.

But when Burt Bacharach At This Time was released in the early part of the 21st century, I had to forgive myself.

All my top ten favorite albums are by, well... Burt Bacharach!

It's been an incredible journey.

Turn to the DVD Burt Bacharach One Amazing Night and confirm one of our Maestro's deepest revealing confessions.

Burt Bacharach is in love with the human voice, especially for woman.

I learned a lot listening to The Shirelles Baby It's You and The Shirelles It's Love That Really Counts.

Two songs from the early 60's by Burt Bacharach that changed how records are made.

In my mind, Baby It's You portrays a young woman aching to break out of her shell, going over in her mind what it's like to sit on a stoop and watch the boy's head off to play basketball after school.

Her girlfriends are at her side, they feel they have enough to distract their young men, but it's challenging to compete with them.

The young men and women are in the spring of their life, they're still keeping score who's right and who's wrong, longing to break all the rules, and bust matters wide open.

They haven't learned how love works yet, the give and take.

The young woman's sole intention is to make the scene at some dance and plant the bomb.

Baby It's You

After a initial foray, they're only kids and withdraw back into their shells and private bedrooms at home.
