4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This story took me a while to sit down and read, but once I started, I couldn't stop! The story is about two women who were roommates in college and for a while thereafter. They're in their thirties now and seemingly happy with their lives. Until the other shoe drops and changes their lives forever.

Aisling is married with twin boys and is a stay at home...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I was very disappointed with this novel. I thought the writing was cliched, the plot was predictable and the novel itself was too long and slow.

This story took me a while to sit down and read, but once I started, I couldn't stop! The story is about two women who were roommates in college and for a while thereafter. They're in their thirties now and seemingly happy with their lives. Until the other shoe drops and changes their lives forever.

Aisling is married with twin boys and is a stay at home mom, and miserably over weight and unhappy. She finds a receipt of a very fancy lingerie store in her husbands pocket and needless to say, he has been planning on leaving her for the other woman for a very long time.

Aisling's ex roommate, Jo, is a high fashion magazine editor and has been with a commitment-phobe. It turns out Jo is pregnant and her boyfriend could not want less to do with a child.

Both girls and their friends help each other overcome the situation and better themselves totally.

I've read most of Cathy Kelly's and really enjoy her style, this book is one of her best. It is out of print so I had to order a used copy. A little slow to begin with but if your one of her fans it is well worth hanging in there.
