3.0 out of 5 stars Good to add to your collection
When I found this book I was sooo happy because it was one for DP"s earlier books and I could not find it anywhere. It was an good read not to her usual standards however. The heroine works Christopher, brother of the hero, and accompanies him to his brothers home for a month of vacation-work. Since the hero believes that she is a rich woman he has no use for her,...

Finally a lady I could really like.

Nicole White of the rich and famous Whites of Kentucky, has given up all the riches of her family and taken a job in Chicago. She has finally gotten qualified and hired as a secretary at the Christopher Corporation and works for Gerald Christopher.

Nicky, at 22, is quite happy with her job and agrees to go to Montana with her boss, Gerald, who is fighting a stomach ulser.

Ah, but now she learns that Winthrop Christopher is a woman hater because his fiancee caused a wreck and just about killed him and then walked out on him when she thought he would be an invalid.

Nicky has become acquainted with Sadie Todd and finds out that she lives near the Christopher ranch. Ah boy, there is a powerful attraction [and a lot of breast baring] between Winthrop and Nicole and jealosy rears its ugly head when Gerald and Nicky are talking about anyone taking her away from Gerald.
Winthrop gets scalded again. [grin]

And you know what hits the fan when Domonic White, 42 and his girl friend, Carol, 27 comes to the Christopher ranch for hunting.

Yeah! Nicky refuses to have an affair with Winthrop even though he admits to needing a woman but will not entertain any thoughts of marriage. What a bitter guy.

He refuses her love - she refuses an affair - they separate when Gerald goes back to Chicago - she refuses any phone calls from Montana and ends up visiting with her father and Carol.

What a Christmas present --

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- Definitely great and a keeper for my shelf.

When I found this book I was sooo happy because it was one for DP"s earlier books and I could not find it anywhere. It was an good read not to her usual standards however. The heroine works Christopher, brother of the hero, and accompanies him to his brothers home for a month of vacation-work. Since the hero believes that she is a rich woman he has no use for her, since he has been hurt in the past by who loved money more than him. Diana tries to squeeze in a secondary story with Christopher and his true love, but she only ends up making it seem forced and wrote it to fill in some blanks. The story with the heroine trying to heal her relationship with her father was better. This is in the same line as her later book "Blind Promises". If you find it do get it, nice item for your collection.

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Not Worth Buying or Reading!, April 26, 2005
This review is from: Woman Hater (Silhouette Romance) (Paperback)
This one is another one of the hugely over-rated books of DP's.... This book just wasn't developed well at all emotionally, & does it make any sense to anybody that a father'd lie about his own daughter & make her out to be a gold-digger in front of other people simply bcs. they R mad at each other at the moment? (The storyline is just simply quite unbelievable....)

This review is from: Woman Hater (Silhouette Romance) (Paperback)
Woman Hater (Silhouette Romance) The book arrived really fast. I think the description of the book was a little inaccurate. She wrote in used-very good condition. After receiving it I thought it was in good to fair condition. The back cover of the book is damaged noticeably at the top and the bottom spine is damaged.
