The Woman In Louise, July 16, 2002
Louise is a British pop tart. Simply put, she crafts enjoyable pop tunes and does it well, especially on this sophmore solo release. This album yielded three UK top twenty singles in "Arms Around The World", "Let's Go Round Again", and "All That Matters". The former two proceeded to the top ten singles, though the ballad "Matters" stalled at a respectable number 11. "Arms" was the biggest hit off the album, a Janet Jackson "Runaway" sound alike, it peaked at number 4, followed by a cover of the disco tune "Let's Go Round Again", which just made it into the top 10. Personally, it's one of my favorite Louise songs, and definitely my favorite single of hers. The album tracks are pure pop in nature, the best being able to make you get up and want to dance. These include "Don't Be Shy", "Shut Up & Kiss Me", the Motown-esque "Running Back For More", and the admittedly cheesy but still fun "Happy Love". A great album for fans of pure pop, pick up a copy of "Woman In Me", you honestly won't be disapointed.

End thoughts: 10 years later & to me Louise is still one of the best pop solo artist of all time, this album while it says 2005 was really first released in the UK in 1997/98 as her 2nd album. 16 tracks and nearly everyone of them are excellent whether it be ballad, disco, or pop, Louise knows how to sing in her vocal range.

Best Louise Album!, August 26, 2003
I love all Louises albums, but this is my favourite. There are so many standout songs on this album. You cant say any song on this album isnt catchy after listening a few times. Most of the songs are upbeat, and my favourites are 'shut up and kiss me', 'new york moon', 'woman in me', 'running back for more' and 'dont be shy'. This album is an outstanding, little known pop gem!
