5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful item!
This is a very useful item. Actually I should say "items" because you do get the pair which is handy: not needing to do one shoe at a time and I needed both shoes streched. The cost of this these as compared to the shoe repair shops I checked with to have them done was MUCH less! AND I can do it myself again, if I need to. Shipping was fast and I am all around very...

3.0 out of 5 stars materials inside are of poor quality, November 23, 2008
This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
I received two shoe stretchers about 1 month ago and just today one of the stretchers broke on me. I took the stretcher apart and noticed that the inside materials were made of plastic. The screw that you turn to widen the stretcher had gone completely through the plastic "bullet looking" item which made it impossible for the stretcher to widen. This was only the second time that I used the stretcher and I am very disappointed with the quality of this item. I intend to write to the company in the hopes of getting a replacement piece so that I can continue to use the stretcher as the rest of materials seem to be okay. Buyer beware of hidden poor quality materials!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after One Use, March 31, 2009
This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
This product is poorly made causing it to break during it's first use. There is a plastic washer holding the stretcher in it's position when doing a length-wise stretch. That plastic washer kept slipping inside the wood pieces and then eventually cracked. It could not handle the pressure necessary to cause the shoe to stretch at all. I couldn't use the width-wise stretch feature because it caused the plastic washer to slip into the wood pieces even further. I would not recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless product, September 18, 2009

This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
This product is worthless, after trying to use the product one time it broke; and after i tried to send back for exchange the company told me it was too late because you only have ten days to return and your ten days start when the product is shipped to you. It would have cost me more to ship back express than i originally paid for them. Worthless, Worthless, Worthless

5.0 out of 5 stars pain free feet, September 15, 2008

These were more than what I was looking for. I bought 2 sets. They stretched the exact position in the shoe where I needed it the most.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best construction, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
Shipping on this item was awesome, we got it the never next day after placing our order, with standard shipping rates. The wood feels pretty solid, although it does have a lot of plastic parts keeping it together. Since this device is meant to stretch out your shoes, the pressure that this device needs to consistently maintain is hindered by its plastic innerworkings. One of the two arrived damaged. It seems at had already been used, or defective, as the inside was destroyed and would not expand. I called the support center and they shipped a replacement right away, at no additional charge and instructed me to throw away the defective one. Which is nice to not have to worry about dealing with RMA or additional shipping issues. This probably means that they see this issue quite often, or they are just real nice.

All in all, for the price its not bad. If you only need these for 1 pair of shoes, of temporarily its fine. But if you expect to use these for a long time, i recommend spending the extra cash and get something a bit more solid.

5.0 out of 5 stars wooden shoe stretchers, October 30, 2008

I feel these stretchers worked really well. I used them with the spray that also helps stretch the leather. I had them in my shoes for an overnite-but didn't notice any significant change-so I then stretched them for about 4 days and saw a difference. My suggestion is that you need to use the stretchers for several days to get a better outcome. These wooden shoe stretchers are great because you can choose to stretch the length or the width(or both at the same time). Definitely will use these again if needed.

The plastic pieces of these stretchers should be made of metal. To stretch a shoe, you have to apply force right?? well the force on the plastic pieces DO NOT hod up. I only got to do one pair of shoes. :/ I love that the product was made of wood, but the plastic washers take it down in value big time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good in theory but broke the first use, February 21, 2009
This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
I love the idea of the shoe stretcher. I have very wide feet and many shoes hurt me. I got these out and was very excited to use them but the first time I used it one of the stretchers broke. The inside is made of flimsy plastic that easily breaks. Great idea not so great product...

5.0 out of 5 stars take care of your feets!!!! :), February 2, 2009
This review is from: Woman PAIR Pro Shoe 2 Way Stretcher (Health and Beauty)
i am surprised that more people do not have these. i hear a lot of people complaining about new shoes and how they hurt until you break them in...ha
why don't they just get a pair of these and get that out of the way now?...
i thought these were very well made and i like the way the stretch out in both directions as well as including the little removable bubble things for the strange spots on my feet...everyones feet are different ...i also like the fact that they had a small womans size!!! the places i checked out before amazon only had medium and larger men's sizes..
thank you!!! i love these i have already had two neighbors borrow mine :)
(i think they should buy their own :) )
