Hell Knows No Fury Like ...,
By Chocolate Girl (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Woman Scorned (Paperback)
...A Woman Scorned. Ms. Erica Williams introduces us to the pretty and sexy Brielle. In a superficial kind of way, all seems to be well within Brielle's world. She is pregnant and married to the man of her dreams. Loving her man and having their child is paramount to her. Paramount, until she realizes that all is not what it seems. Then Ms. Brielle does what she does best ...corrects the situation, Brielle's way! Exactly how she remedies her problem is the problem.Brielle has lived a life of abuse for quite some time and refuses to be on the receiving end this time around. Not only does she settle the score with her husband, but she settles all scores with anyone who is bold and audacious enough to not conform to her liking. It seems that all Brielle really wants is to be treated like the queen she thinks she. She takes her vows to love seriously and to know Brielle is to not cross her, EVER! Will true love finally come Brielle's way? And if it does will she able to recognize it? Come and sojourn with Brielle as she travels the rocky road to find love, her true love. And in-between looking for true love, watch how she settles all matters. This is a read that will have you cautiously turning the pages to see exactly what Brielle is up to next. Will Brielle continue to be a woman scorned or will she find "that" love and live blissfully ever after? Or is it true that... hell has no fury like a woman scorned? Well to find out, you gotta turn the pages and do the dayum thang! Because once you read this story the likelihood of you forgetting Brielle is next to none! Brielle will stay with you long after you've closed your book.

Dante, an executive for a Fortune 500 company and Brielle the devoted wife seem to have it all: money, a husband, job, and a home in the suburbs-living the American dream. When Brielle finds out her husband is no good, she snaps and her life takes a surprising downward turn. Brielle realizes something inside of her isn't right, she seeks the help of a therapist who she visits once or twice a week. Brielle soon finds out she has a inner voice, a voice of revenge, her alternate personality is lurking just below the surface waiting to emerge with any man she comes in contact with. There is also a shady cousin name Janay that Brielle grew up with and these two take over the town partying. Janay has some issues of her own, but the question is did she know from the start about Brielle's killer ways? and did she all along have plans to reveal Brielle's wrongs and use her for her own shady plans?A Woman Scorned started off good in the beginning, then it took a very long drawn out slow turn in the middle right up to the ending. The author goes into too much detail that takes up alot of time and therefore loses the readers's interest, then goes back into the story which at times make the story fizzle and become boring. The book had so much potential but it was missing something either it was suspense or mystery. Character development was somewhat shallow and I didn't feel any connection. At times, I kept losing interest in the story and several times I had to stop and decide if I was going to finish or not. The editing was very good, but I still think the author can do a better job building the plot, making the story less predictable, and taking the reader to the next level. I am willing to read other titles the author has written and if you like chick violence and revenge you will like this book. Brielle,a woman with good looks,a great career,an abusive husband and a set of Louis Vitton luggage full of drama, garbage and secrets...I didn't know whether to feel sorry her, cheer her on or have her committed...I thought I was watching a episode of SNAPPED but Brielle took it to a different level....she was broken, but functional, almost to the point of irreparable...Follow Brielle and her love life and how she dealt with lying, cheating men...how childhood abuse and hurt affected her adult life...Just when she thought she was being repaired...Readers you'll have to read it for yourself to find out what happens...Ms. Williams did a good job on telling this story...as her 2 other books there was a message. 4*s

Revenge has never been Sexier!!!,
This review is from: A Woman Scorned (Paperback)
I am so excited about the release of "A Woman Scorned"; Ericka has really put her heart and soul into this book. A Woman Scorned is sure to be a classic; the page turner that launches Ericka's career. Don't get it twisted, Ericka has been around for awhile, but sometimes you get slept on as a new author. With this book Ericka is sure to shine! She has two books under her belt, the Essence Magazine bestseller "All That Glitters", and the sequel "Shining Star."A Woman Scorned follows Brielle, who is oh so sexy with a swagger like Lauren London and confidence like Keyshia Cole. Brielle is somebody who wants nothing except to be LOVED. She's been mistreated by men all her life. Can she really be happy? She thought she found happiness with her husband Dante, until Dante showed his true colors. Dante is not the man that Brielle envisioned him to be. Can she really take anymore of the hurt and pain he's put her through? Secrets are revealed and things are not always as they seem. Will Dante kill what's left of Brielle's spirit or will Brielle finally have enough and get the ultimate revenge? Revenge has never been sexier! There is so much drama and suspense going on in this book; you won't want to stop reading. Ericka has really stepped up her game up with "A Woman Scorned." Trust me, you will not be disappointed. -- 5 Stars: America Most Wanted, Whatsdastory Book Club

Ms. Brielle is introduced as the main female lead and she has a definite baggage. As Brielle struggles to find love and happiness in man, her life spirals out of control after experiencing heartbreak. For me this book flowed fairly slow for the most part. I also wished that certain characters had more details explained. But since this the first book of two, I found out that book two pretty much answered most that lacking for part 1. I am going to post my review for book 2 shortly. I must say at first I was felt like passing on this series, but luckily I didn't. Although this book moved slow until the end, it actually sets the stage for part 2.My rating 3.3*s

This book is truly a page turner. You will be on edge anticipating the next turn of the page and unable to put it down. The author takes you on an insightful, frightening and sometimes witty exchange of revenge served cold. The characters are true to form and come to life with each turn of the page. This book will make you second guess the beautiful woman next door. Great read and the cliffhanger at the end will have you anxiously anticipating part two. Great Book --- Highly Recommended................

Amazing Book!!!!!,
This review is from: A Woman Scorned (Paperback)
From the first page as I started to read about Ms. Brielle I was drawn into her character. Ericka Williams did a good job of introducing Brielle as a woman that came from a broken home where both her parents didn't want her and all she wanted was someone to love her....this was definitely a page turner.....but at the end it does leave you hanging...where you have no choice but to pick up the sequel to see what happens to Ms. Brielle's future......which I'm looking forward to reading next!!!!

A True Page Turner!,
This review is from: A Woman Scorned (Paperback)
"This was my first time reading one of Ericka's books and I must say I have enjoyed every bit of it! A Woman Scorned is a page turner from the beginning to the end. Sometimes I would skim ahead to find out what would happen to some of the characters because the storyline was so intriguing and I just couldn't wait to get to that part. I will say if you purchase this book, you might as well purchase the sequel, A Woman Scorned Family Ties to see how the story unfolds. If you are looking for a well-written, page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then I highly recommend this book!" - Ayesha Shoulders, Author of When it's Time to Walk Away
