This is a tremendous book on the great Marlene Dietrich. I did see her perform several times and she was unforgettable. This book is a great tribute to her war work and her entire life and career. We will not see her like again and her grandson does her proud in this beautiful volume.

This is a nice coffee table book that will spark some interesting conversations.. There are a lot of photos especially of Marlene in Europe during WWII. It is interesting to note that as a Berliner, Marlene could see through the Nazi and Hitler's lies. She left her native country in the early 30's and came to Hollywood. Her Mother, who remained in Berlin, was always a concern for Marlene during the war years. She remained a staunch Allied supporter until her death in Paris in the 1980's.
