Awesome first single,

Probably a bit hard to get used to as it reminded me much of what Blackout sounded like, though it turned out to be a real great pop song which granted her her second #1 hit in the U.S. after `Baby One More time' back in 1998. The beats are infectious and to me, they remind me of an alarm for some reason, warning everyone of a womanizer out for the kill. It is a fun track, its sassy, it is so catchy, and the hook and the chorus will be stuck in one's head for days. Even though it's repetitive, it doesn't get old.
Remixing this is a bad idea because the song shouldn't be messed with in the first place, its just amazing as it is, still the remixes are catchy and all but I prefer the main track.

How to remix such a power pop masterpiece like "Womanizer" ? Slow it down - that's what the mixes are on this single - and they are dreadful. Great for Brit collectors - but this is very lackluster. They could have done a great Giorgio Moroder style fast long mix. Alas, not here. The album cut is where it is at. Extra star added because this girl has a great spark.

No, Don't--> "Mistake me For A Sucker!,

This is a catchy, infectious Britney song off her album Circus. While the pop sound is quite rampant in most of her songs, this one manages to incorporate a more mature dance type style along excellent infectious beats.
The first is the Main Version 3:43 of "Womanizer" definitely strong in accentuating the meaning behind the song along enhanced vocals in the background by a guy. Britney with her "diva" on your face attitude, and dance music pumping with jumping pulsating beats definitely hypnotic, super fast, and highly paced -->highlights: "You got the swagger of a champion... lollipop must mistake me as a sucker/To think that I would be a victim not another/Say it play it how you wanna/But no way I'm ever gonna fall for you/Never you baby." Excellent song! The second is the Instrumental 3:42 of "Womanizer" also quite catchy in its beats although lacking Britney's singing. The music by itself can hold up since the dance vibe is very strong. This is a great work-out song with the vocals and without as it can almost seem like a dance mix --although not quite. Both tracks are definitely full of dance ambiance, highly packed energizing styles, and great hooks. Britney is definitely back in her element of being pop diva. She may also be taking the dance diva throne too with these new releases. The single status definitely suits her much better!!! This single is a phenomenal purchase and a must for die-hard fans! *This does not include remixes as some other reviews state. I purchased it. |
