This is a handbook on how to perform sacred ceremonies in the tradition of Goddess spirituality in one's own home with ordinary household items. An annual cycle of celebrations is included, as is advice on how to set up an altar and use simple tools. The author, a practitioner of Wicca (witchcraft), expounds the life-affirming, eco-feminist values of that tradition. Suggestions for rituals and ideas for inventing one's own are given. This is a very interesting and useful account for those who prefer "unencumbered ritual," and for all women who wish to honor and explore feminine spirituality and women's traditions. The only drawback is the author's cutesy tone which is at times irritating. However, the value of the information far outweighs this minor flaw.

I received this book as a gift for my birthday & it is wonderful! It has some great rituals for all occasions including Candlemas, Beltane, New Moon, Full Moon, Dark Moon rituals just to name a few. You can use the rituals as they are or as guides to create your own. It also has a basic section on how to consecrate your tools along with some rituals for other personal things.
