5.0 out of 5 stars Women's fitness for all levels presented with expertise., January 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Woman's Guide to Peak Performance (Paperback)
How refreshing to have a wealth of information delivered in a frank and friendly conversational tone. All women are welcome from the novice to the competitive. Starting to achieve fitness is not intimidating, nor is striving to be your very best considered unattainable in this book. Answers to questions concerning every aspect of fitness are here. In addition to general fitness, concerns for women are addressed including workout clothes, equipment, menstral cycles, pregnancy, nutrition, aging, and injuries. Women do have differences from men when it comes to fitness performance. Anecdotes from fellow female fitness seekers are interspersed with the text, sharing the sisterhood of common concerns. The book is well organized and knowledgable, a handy reference for many activities and for general well-being.
