I have been putting A Woman's Guide to Successful Negotiating to practice and it has really surpassed my expectations. I think as a woman, I was just too afraid to ask for the things I wanted. I have found the confidence through the easy to follow advice in this book to ask and to do so strategically. The book helped changed my vantage point on negotiating. For instance, I never asked for a raise thinking my boss would think less of me. Lee and Jessica Miller make it clear that for a successful woman, negotiating for a higher salary is expected of them and that employers may think less of them if they do not negotiate. I have been stunned by my success and had to share how this book changed my perspective and is getting me what I want. I'd recommend it to every woman!
