4.0 out of 5 stars Wish I could meet the writer, October 27, 2003

This review is from: A Woman's Place (Mass Market Paperback)
Anne Elliot Crompton is as much of a poet as she is a writer. I fell in love with _Merlin's Harp_ and have been searching out her publications ever since.

_A Woman's Place_ is a journey through time, which follows five women who have lived in the same home. Each of the women is at a different phase in her life and at a different phase in this country's history. However, each of them tells a universal story of what we long for, be it stability, love, a child, or independence.

Ms. Crompton speaks to the struggle within ourselves. She doesn't diminish the importance of the individual struggle, but by showing us 200 years' of various women's experiences the struggle seems more acceptable.
