I Monique Take You __________?,
This review is from: A Woman's Worth (Paperback)
A Woman's Worth by Nikita Lynnette Nichols is a very interesting/engaging read. The story centers around 28-year old Monique Morrison, her fiance' Boris, her best friend Arykah, Boris' cousin Adonis with a cameo appearance of our favorite girl Amaryllis from (A Man's worth). Monique is a plus-size woman with the appearance of one who has it all together - dresses well, pretty face, good job BUT inwardly she suffers from "petite-size" self esteem. She loves Boris and caters to his needs. But, is the relationship loving and nurturing? Boris, who is the choir director is living his life the way he sees fit, but not necessarily one that honors his fiance'. Monique prays consistenly for God to touch Boris's heart and change HIM; (all while I'm screaming girlfriend - what about you? - you can't change a person - DUH!). Meanwhile, her best friend Arykah advises her to kick his butt to the curb
But, there is a problem - Monique loves Boris. Will she come to her senses and "dump" him or will she give him a second chance? Afterall, isn't that what true love does - forgive and forget? This book is peppered with scriptures that will make you think and is believable in the sense that we've all been there and done that. There are a few twists that will make you go hmmmmmm! Ladies, there are parts that will make you think - No One Is That Good and literally make you scream "I WISH A MAN WOULD." Enjoy

Ms. Nichols, this book was beyond awesome! All I can say is...WOW!!!!! From the story line to the characters, it was truly a great read. I was captivated from the beginning to the end. All I can say is Love is a Many Splendid Thing, and the love shared between the couples in this book not only jumped off the pages, but was also one to marvel at. This was the first book I've read by Ms. Nichols, and immediately upon completing this book, I went online and ordered "A Man's Worth." I am truly anxious and very impatiently waiting on the follow-up to this book "Lady Elect." I highly recommend this book! It will give you insight of God's awesome power and revelation knowledge of Love and self worth!

Monique had so much to offer to her mate . . . but like so many women she gave away her jewels not knowing they were worth far more than rubies. "A Woman's Worth" is a good lesson for all women in Christ to read and learn that she is worth far more than rubies and that she should hold on to her jewels until the man that is seeking a good thing comes from God and not her will or desire for the man that is not sent by God and do not recognize the value and worth of a good woman.A Woman's Worth

Yes, I'm a fan of Nikita Lynette Nichol's "A Man's Worth" & Amaryllis but "A Woman's Worth" was just ok compared to the other two novels.
Monique is a plus size diva who is favored by God has good job, exspensize wardrobe and a loyal girlfriend named Arykah. Even though God has blessed Monique with a comfortable life, Monique allows her fiance Boris to take away her happiness. Boris is not interested in respecting Monique or treating her like the Queen she is, even though Monique caters to Boris like a King. Monique is in love with Boris, she gets on her knees and pray to God that Boris change his ways and love her. Boris cousin Adonis moves in with Monique and Boris, and is a witness to how file Boris treats Monique. When Boris is no where to be found, Adonis steps in and treats Monique like gold! Falling in love with a woman that is engaged to his cousin is wrong, but love is love and is more powerful than Adonis can even imagine. I enjoyed reading this book because Nikita can tell a good story. But I like her other two novels better. I felt Monique and Adonis relationship and how he treated her was too fairytale. But than again there might be a man in this world that would treat his women like Adonis treated Monique .. haven't met or come across a guy like that but who am I to say he doesn't exist. I'm still a fan and can not wait until Nikita next installment is released.

A Woman's Worth was truly a book worth reading. I enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. It reminds women of their worth and that they should not be taken for granted or taken advantage of. I LOVED Adonis. Now, that's what you call a GOOD man. If you have not read this book, I highly recommend that you do. It is truly worth reading and you won't be disappointed.

I have to just say WOW. I had already read a Man's Worth and just couldn't wait to get this one. The writing style of this author really keeps you captivated and you really don't want to put the book down. From beginning to the end this book will hold your attention. I read it in two days, but would have been one day if not for house chores. Anyway, I would recommend this read to anyone. I just wish Amazon had it in a hardcover. Now I wish I could pre-order "Lady Elect". I'm in the process of pre-ordering "Crossroads". Heck I think I'm just going to order all her books. I really would like them in a hardcover.
