5.0 out of 5 stars Heads Up Ladies!
This is definitely a head's up and listen up for women in recovery....using this in conjunction with "A Womans' Way Through the Twelve Steps" is a sure way to add to any other 12 step program that you may be using. I am a person who has been in recovery for 10 years, and found that many women's issues were not being addressed and this combination is an absolute...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not acceptable
The book I ordered was listed as "Used - Good Condition". The book I received was a different version (not the one pictured on the website), dirty, heavily highlighted and written in. I would not trust this vendor, GreatBuyBooks, again.

I am a person who has been in recovery for 10 years, and found that many women's issues were not being addressed and this combination is an absolute winner. It can be used by yourself, working with a sponsor or in a group ..some wonderful "aha's" have been experienced and so many women helped in this process. Read it...do it....you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A woman's Way is a terrific guide, February 21, 2006
This review is from: A Woman's Way through the Twelve Steps Workbook (Paperback)
A Woman's Way Through the twelve steps workbook is a great tool to accompany Stephanie Covington's book "A Womans Guide through the Twelve Steps. The questions are insightful and to the point without being overwhelming. I have found these two books to be an immeasurable asset to working the twelve steps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Tool for any woman in recovery, January 7, 2008

I have used this book personally and professionally for recovery issues. I can't reccommend it highly enough. If you or someone you care about is in early recovery or even if you are in recovery a long time and could use a refresher, this book is phenomenal. It is written simply, with no "jargon" and is very helpful in guiding you to focus on what you need to in order to live a purposeful and peaceful life in recovery, step by step. Progress not perfection. I give it to all my female counseling clients.

5.0 out of 5 stars great workbook, December 29, 2007

This is a good workbook to do the 12 steps of AA. It is designed for women, by a woman. It gives guidence and suggestions on working the steps. I found it much less intimidating that sitting down with a blank piece of paper. It has an accompaning book of the same title which is also very good, but not neccesary to complete the workbook

If you are looking for a truly gently approach to working through the 12-steps, this is it. This workbook combines written exercises and rituals. My favorite was this book's approach to steps 6 and 7. I now love those steps thanks to this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Woman's Way through the 12 steps, November 16, 2008
This review is from: A Woman's Way through the Twelve Steps Workbook (Paperback)
Thank goodness for a book written for women in the program. Don't get me wrong but the Big Book was written with men in mind. This has been one of the best tools in my program for understanding the steps in a gentl and softer way.

I have been in rehab for opiates (Lortab, Oxycontin)since oct 2007. My councelor reminds me often that alot of the books avail. for me are male based. He suggested i find a book geared towards women. According to my councelor women are taught at an early age to carry the burden of the family... as well as many other obvious situations. This book helped me understand its not all my fault and that there is always hope.
