5.0 out of 5 stars Clever, catchy and massive April 26, 2011
Format:Audio CD
The Wombats have come up with one of the most fun and catchy records of the year so far, yet the songs are very honest and confessional. In that way, they remind me of The Smiths, a rather high honor in my mind. I find the songwriting to be suprisingly deep and brilliantly written, clearly not a trait you see you every fun, upbeat band. What makes it even better, is how massive the sound becomes (especially in "Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)"). I also love how Indie pop/rock and New Wave influences come together so fluidly. I could list so many other things I enjoy about this record, but I'll just say buy it (or at least give it a listen).

5.0 out of 5 stars New Favorite October 19, 2012
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
These guys rock! I don't skip a single song. Their sound is very driving, rock, with a bit of a electronic. Extremely clean production, very pleasing to the ear. The vocals are unique and smooth, along with thoughtful lyrics. I really can't say enough good things about these guys.
While songs like "Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)", "Techno Fan" and "1996" grabbed my attention at first, I couldn't get enough of the entire album and sound. Probably the best album I've heard in 15 years, or ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars .....Jolly Good second album !!... October 29, 2012
Format:Audio CD
.....sorry to be late to the party, but better late than styoopid.....don't know how i missed this band until recently, but the Wombats are now my absolute favourite marsupials!!.....Murph, Tord and Dan make a giant sound for just 3 guys and it hits on all cylinders (songwriting, vocals, great musicianship, you name it).....top tracks for me include "Perfect Disease" and "Schumacher" as well as the engaging lyrical twists and storming guitars of "Last Night I Dreamt".......they've had some tutelage from Sir Paul and been schoolmates together, so the tightness of the band shines through in all the fun they're having with the music......a Wombats stage show is one big happy BASH, so definitely don't miss them in concert!.....i can absolutely see these guys pushing onward into all new territory with every album, because they just know what they're doing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, not memorable.
I know I have listened to this album 3 times and I can't think of a single song off of it at the moment. Pales in comparison to "A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation"

5.0 out of 5 stars GOOD!
I got this for the song "Jump Into the Fog" and ended up liking a few more songs, but it's all a matter of preference really. Hope you enjoy it too!

The Wombats are getting better but I don't like this album as much as their previous one. I recommend this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this album.
This album is so much fun! It's a great sing-a-long record with an upbeat tempo. It reminds me of old Taking Back Sunday in a way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible!
I liked their first album, but to be honest, it got old pretty quickly. This Modern Glitch, however, is really a great listen and I've yet to get sick of it. Read more
