About the Author
Karen Berger, co-author of A Woman's decision: Breast Care, Treatment and reconstruction, is a respected medical writer and publisher who has spent the last 15 years interviewing and surveying women with breast cancer and has lectured widely on women's health, breast cancer, doctor-patient communications and breast reconstruction issues.
Karen is a speaker for the American Cancer Society and has worked extensively with breast cancer support groups throughout th country. She has testified as an expert witness before the FDA, been interviewed on Oprah Winfrey, The MacNeil Leher Report and CNN and has received national coverage in the New York Times, Newsweek, Time, The St Louis Post Dispatch and U.S. News and World Report. John Bostwick, III, M.D., the world's foremost authority and experts on breast surgery and breast reconstruction. Dr. Bostwick is Chairman and Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine, one of the leading departments of Plastic Surgery in the world.
