5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Womens' History!!!
I love this book. It is a thoroughly fascinating read of truly remarkable women that I never knew of before. These lady pilots flew aircraft in harm's way throughout WW II but the US Government refused to acknowledge their military service until recently. The book is jam packed with photos, charts, and facts that support the chronological story of their exploits. Highly...

2.0 out of 5 stars Was this a first draft?
The best thing about this book is its subject matter the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots). It's a little-known, but fascinating page out of World War II history that should easily make a compelling read for anyone. Unfortunately this book misses that mark. To begin with, it reads as if bits and pieces of source material were copied and pasted together in an effort to...

The best thing about this book is its subject matter the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots). It's a little-known, but fascinating page out of World War II history that should easily make a compelling read for anyone. Unfortunately this book misses that mark. To begin with, it reads as if bits and pieces of source material were copied and pasted together in an effort to create a coherent narrative. On top of that, the text is rife with grammatical, spelling and typographic errors making it a tedious and frustrating read. Every author needs good literary and copy editors to complete a work, and there is no evidence of either ever having laid eyes on this book. The blame for that rests squarely on the publisher's shoulders, not the writer's. This book should never had gone to print in it's current form, suggesting to me that it was released either by a vanity press, or a publisher with absolutely no concern for quality.

Basically, a good first draft that should have gone through a number of editing cycles before being released.
