The show centers around women who have been accused of doing pretty horrible things. Instead of focusing on the crimes, however, the show seems to focus on the women pleading their case.

What bothered me the most about the lay out/concept of this series is they are by far the most PRO-criminal/ANTI-victim series like this I have seen.

We know these women have had years to re-create their version of their crimes in a way that makes them look the least culpable, yet to give them such an open format to spew their side without any question or follow up is simply disgusting. Even worse is that every episode is full of victim bashing and with very little defending of the deceased. I wonder why we didn't hear from the victim's of these crimes.....OH, that's right they are DEAD!

I am a full supporter of equal rights and in my mind that includes equal sentences for equal crimes for men and women. And in giving lighter sentences to women who claim abuse but have never reported it seems highly unequal.

Lastly some of they worst fake crying (no tears) combined with excessive use of the word PRAY runs rampant in each episode. Yet, just as every criminal in this series who claimed/blamed addiction as well, I found myself so addicted I watch all three season with a total of 36 episodes. Talk about feeling abused!

This is a good documentary series. It is some what predictable. The show is all about women who have made some serious mistakes in their life. Now they are spending the rest of their life in prison. Some of them have received very harsh sentences. The series covers all angles, the prosecutor, the defense, the victims families, a relative of the women behind bars, and of course an interview with the women in prision. The shows does a good job showing their early childhood, their youth, and how they went wrong, and ended up in prison. I gave it only four stars because it is too predictable. I have watched four episodes. Its seems to me watching one is just like watching the next one.

The episode I watched is not about women in prison. It is the story of what a couple of women did that led to them being sent to prison.

I am into watching crime stories. Sad, as they are. I have always been interested in how the mind operates.
