4.0 out of 5 stars refreshing, needed narrative and analysis September 24, 2007
Format:Paperback
WOMEN BUILDING PEACE is an unusual book---it analyzes the contributions of women in conflict, as well as their frustrations and setbacks, while telling stories that illustrate this long-neglected topic. It is insightful, informed, and important.

4.0 out of 5 stars I well written book on a ry important topic May 10, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Why is it that when we have a peace negotiation at the end of a war, only the warriors are invited ro the table. IN most of these societies, it is the women who understand best what is needed to return to peace and stability. Why aren't their voices included? Sanam Anderlini has worked extensively in this area and presents a well written, well thought out treatment of this important issue.
