I've read a lot of books on women's history and this book is like no other. It has verve - beautiful pictures, fascinating quotes, 3-D pop ups and covers women across all dimensions of history. It's the perfect coffee table book for all daughters, moms and grandmothers.

This beautiful giant hardcover 11 1/2 by 1 1/2 fully illustrated book is unique in many ways. It is dedicated to the power and strength of women. Many women contributed to this volume which was published by Legal Momentum (Advancing Women's rights). It gives an overview of the numerous accomplishments women have made in society over the years. It gives many facts about women most people are unaware of and is filled with beautiful photographs. This book also has some unique pop ups to illustrate the many wonderful accomplishments of women in education and many other fields.

This book also shows women as leaders in business, in the field of art, trailblazers for change, in sports, health, discovery, military and politics. The end of the book also includes a pamphlet of the Constitution of the United States and 50 key cases for women's equality from 1873 - 2006. This fantastic book is one mothers will want to hand down to their daughters. I always knew and respected the role women have played in our society and lives, but this wonderful volume provided an incredible overview of accomplishments that I was unaware of until reading this very unique book. In this respect, this book should be read by not just women, but men should also want to read this very interesting volume.

Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (The Samurai Soul: An old warrior's poetic tribute)

This is a wonderful treasure that teaches about great contributors who are women. What an excellent visual opportunity to see a beautiful design come to life and validate great and powerful women across time and reality. Power is knowledge and sacrifice and this book gives us a lovely peek at some of the females who have made a difference in our human development and have often been dismissed from "His-story."
