Judith Alstadter has achieved recognition and praise for the beauty and virtuosity of her interpretations as well as the originality and imagination of her programs. She has concertized in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, including appearances at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall, and Merkin Hall in New York City. Born in New York, she is a graduate of the Juilliard School and Yale Music School. She is well-known as a music educator, lecturer, and workshop clinician. Among her many awards and honors, Judith Alstadter received the medal of the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French Government for her contributions to French music in America, especially the music of Gabriel Fauré.
