5.0 out of 5 stars Special book
Beautiful photos and touching naratives. Women and children are hurt by military conflicts more than anyone else. This book gives brave Afghan women a special place to tell their stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars its ok
I have read a lot about Agfghanistan and the women there. This book was no different than anything else I've read and it didnt teach me anything new. It was basically the same repeated information. If you have never learned about Afghanistan, I definitly suggest this book to you. But if you already know details about the women of Afghanistan, I don't recommend this to you.

I read this book and adamently dissagree with the person that didn't give it a good review.I decided to take a chance anyway and I'm so glad that I did.It is a very honest and good book.some of the women in the book have lost their lives since then.I shared it with my grandaughter who also liked the pictures.I told her some of what I was reading.Get this book.Nadia Rehmani author of Sharper Than A Two Edged Sword-a true story of one woman's walk into Islam and out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Book, January 9, 2010

The book is full of pictures of beautifully heroic Afghan women.

It doesn't really give an in depth discussion of the situation for women in Afghanistan - a situation that makes these women remarkable.
