I have been doing daily devotions for over 10 years, and it's sometimes hard to find a book that is current and yet spritual.

I saw the list of contributors and decided to give it a try.

This book of devotions is a winner. I'm a busy mom, career woman and caregiver. So free time for me is at a premium. This book has all the things I look for. Quick and easy to read, and with advice and practical ways to live the Godly life I continue to strive for, without being preachy.

I look forward to my devotions and am renewed.

I was definately disappointed with this devotional. While I appreciated the lighthearted, uplifting approach to daily quiet times I was hoping for something with more depth and insight. I was worried that each daily reading was based on a single verse rather than within the context of a biblical passage. This led to (in my humble opinion) some writings that were slighly out of context with the original meaning of the verse within the biblical passage. Needless to say I'm back on the market for a new daily devotional.

I couldn't wait to get this book ...!
I'm a beginner to Bible studies, and am reading devotions to my group when we meet. This book just filled my expectations!
These devotions are written by some well-known authors and is spiritually motivating. Each story is short and to the point!
...I will also recommend this book to all of the other ladies in Bible study.

Unfortunately this book was not at all what I was expecting. Next time I will be sure to make use of the samples amazon posts. All in all it's not a bad book just not what expected. I thought it was an actual daily devotional with daily study guide information but it is just a story for every day of the year.

This book has been such an inspiration to me. Written by women of great senses of humor and of deeply held faiths in God, each daily devotion brings joy and an uplifting message. I received my book from my beautiful daughter-in-law for Christmas and I have recently purchased it as a birthday gift for my bible study leader. I recommend this for all.

I've just started reading this book. Since its a daily devotional it will take a year to read, but it's 'easy reading', easy because it only takes a few minutes to read your devotion of the day. Written by Christian women for womeon of faith, with their input and life experiences, that you can relate to. I bought 1 book for myself and gave 2 as gifts.

When I got the book, I couldn't wait to read it & use it to help me study my bible. When I opened it, I was a little disappointed b/c there wasn't scripture like I thought there would be. Don't get me wrong, there is a little bible verse before each story but it's not what I expected. This is a good book for someone who wants to read daily inspirational stories. If you're wanting to strengthen your bible knowledge, look else where.

This book has made me laugh and cry. I read the devotionals every day and often share them with coworkers. I work in a health care setting and these daily stories and scriptures help remind me why I chose my field. The company I work for is faith based and the devotional "Prayed into Being" is especially relevant. Part of that story states "Can you imaging someone praying for help, and you show up?". The stories in this book have touched me deeply. I look forward to the story and related scripture every day.

This is wonderful...the devotions are not too long or complicated. And it's great when you don't want to have to keep starting a new devotional every twelve weeks. I use it with my best friend across the country and it works out just fine.

I purchased this book as a gift for my mom because she wanted a daily devotional. So far, she has only said great things about this book. She mentioned it is very inspiring and a great read whenever she is waiting for a dr's appt. or just wanting a daily devotional because the chapters are short. Great for Christians in all walks of life and has bible versus as references throughout the entire book!
