Book Description

October 2003
Women & Money is a book every woman should own and read. If you own only one finance book this is it!

Every woman (and man) knows how important it is to make the most of their money. You try to spend wisely and save as much as you can. But you know that to achieve true financial success you’ll have to move beyond the basics and learn about how money works.

Packed with loads of good advice about important money matters, Women & Money gives you the information you’ve been looking for. This book will walk you through the basics of setting up a financial plan and help you achieve your goals. And the bonus is in the last six chapters where Dee Lee helps the reader figure out how to handle the different money roles women take on at different stages of their lives; what you need to know as someone’s wife, ex-wife, widow, mother, daughter or partner.

Six easy steps to managing your money:

1. Figure out where your money goes each month. Do you have more month than money?
2. Get out of Debt. This may mean drastic measures such as "plastic surgery".
3. Set up a spending plan. Budgeting is not fun but there are some easy ways to save money.
4. Make use of your retirement plan at work. Start with contributing 1 or 2 percent if that’s all you can afford.
5. Learn about investing. You want your money working hard for you.
6. Learn how to use insurance and estate planning to protect those hard earned assets and your dependents.
