Book Description

September 2001
Here is potent teaching from a respected leader on the potential of women in ministry. Ed Silvoso takes a fresh look at the Fall in Genesis, specifically how it relates to women's ultimate role in defeating Satan. He contends that Satan fears women whose seed will deliver the final fatal blow to his kingdom. Silvoso unfolds practical steps for women to be restored to their God-given positions of effective ministry and presents powerful examples of what happens when women are "twice refined" then released into ministry. This book will embolden women to step beyond stereotypical roles and find healing from long-term emotional hurts. It will also establish for men a confidence that they can walk side by side with women, helping them to be restored and refined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Freeing and inspiring, July 1, 2006
This review is from: Women: God's Secret Weapon (Paperback)
This was a great book. It had some truths in it I hadn't ever known before. A must read for those women who would like to do something for God but feel they don't have what it takes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scripture Is Handled Well in Silvoso "Women: God's Secret Weapon", June 7, 2011
This review is from: Women: God's Secret Weapon (Paperback)
I have to disagree with another reviewer: Ed Silvoso not only makes good points about God's desire to use women as His secret weapon in these End Times to advance the Kingdom and the gospel, but Silvoso interprets Scripture quite well. I see no evidence of mishandling Scripture or misinterpreting it, as an earlier reviewer claims. This book is strong in its message and strong biblically. Gary S. 2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read, April 19, 2011

This is an astounding book! I found it really enjoyable to read, so far as the relaxed writing style. Silvoso explores the value of women in his new book. Any woman who is feeling that they are not important or vital to the kingdom work would benefit from this book. Silvoso shows how God has a specefic and special purpose for women in this world in the spiritual battles of the time. He shows how women where specifically designed for certain tasks in the kingdom work and how they are truelly essential to the plan God has put in motion. I do however have one reservation about this book. This is that the author seems to stretch the meaning of some scripture. At some points even taking some scriptures out of context in order to make it fit his agenda. Although I most full heartily agree that women are created for a specific purpose in the kingdom work, I do not think they hold a higher use than men. It is almost as if this author is trying to place women in an exalted position of spiritual authority - I beleive this to be a dangerously slippery slope into pride and sin.

Thank you Gospel Light for this review copy.
