5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, user-friendly and uncannily accurate.
As a professional astrologer, I've seen books on the subject come and go, but was delighted by Jacqueline Bigar's insights in Women and their Moon Signs. But here's where it REALLY makes the grade in my opinion: I shared the book with friends who know nothing about astrology, and had to fight them to get it back! 3.0 out of 5 stars It's alright.
It's an accurate book on the combinations but I was shocked to see the small amount of information on the compatibility of sun signs. Overall, this book is great for fun and an interesting reading but NOT for an in-depth reading...

The consensus was that the descriptions of their Sun-Moon combinations and the men they love were a bullseye! Kudos to Ms. Bigar and her breezy, easy style. Candice A. 5.0 out of 5 stars Relationship insight at its finest !!!, July 21, 1998

This review is from: Women & Their Moon Signs (Paperback)
I'm not an Astrologer but I have been a faithful devotee since I was very young. I read Jacqueline's book cover to cover (with particular stops inbetween that especially related to my "romantic" issues.) I am a native Philadelphian and a loyal follower of her column for the past 20 years. She is amazing !!! I found her extremely accurate, informative and easy to comprehend. WHAT a great book!!! Ladies,...this is the ultimate astrological compatability book. And for you "GUYS" ...don't think this is only for women... this book will give you a great opportunity to know certain things about you and your relationships with women. Now that I'm thinking about it... there are at least 5 men that I know I should buy this book for. : )

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Work by Ms. Bigar!, June 12, 2001
This review is from: Women & Their Moon Signs (Paperback)
I, too, had the pleasure of initially encountering Ms. Bigar some years back when I was providing free psychic/tarot readings on Prodigy's BB and in chat. In fact, she was one of the first professionals to certify me as a psychic reader. Despite being impressed by her knowledge, wisdom, and guidance I must admit I had reservations about buying her book since astrology was not my forte. How delighted I was with the material contained in Women and Their Moon Signs, though! Easy to understand, extremely accurate, and a wealth of insight into both yourself and your loved ones is provided. I would highly recommend it to anyone :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Succinct, accurate; and, about all Close relationships, August 5, 1998
This review is from: Women & Their Moon Signs (Paperback)
Jacquie has finally provided a reference book about our romantic ideals, relationships, compatibilities; and, she pulls no punches doing it! You'll hear REAL advice, such as, "no way, no how;" and "this man will ring your chimes." You'll know what the potential glitches are, and it's up to you to evaluate Mr. Not-so-right, or rejoice in unmasking Mr. Wrong, with more than your gut-instinct. And, to top it off, it's a fun read! It makes you grateful you fell out with your past amours or whatevers, and gives incredible insight into the emotional sides of your relatives and friends, too. So, you won't be buying a book just to look up Mr. Right. And for those of you for whom references to "femininity," might gag you, or those who feel their alternate sexual preferences have been overlooked, take heart! Just read, "sensuality," as your defining word in the introduction and do not miss this bargain of one-liners. Especially, as sh! e happens to be so right-on!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Relationship Astrology book for all to read!, August 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Women & Their Moon Signs (Paperback)
I've known Jacqueline Bigar since early 1995 when she became the coordinator of the astrology bulletin board on Prodigy. At the time we met we both had over twenty years experience with astrology and in Sept 1995 Jacquie asked me to coordinate the general astrology board so that she could focus on the relationship board. This is when I first realized how occupationally gifted Jacquie is in working with relationship astrology. It is no wonder that she is one the most recognized syndicated sun sign columnist writers in the world.
It is extremely difficult to write sun sign astrology and to do it well; however, I have found that Jacqueline Bigar is one of the best. When I read her yearly 'scopes' I find them very insightful and personalized. She does an excellent job at looking at the transits for the year ahead and makes some really awsomely accurate projections.
In Jacquie's new book, "Women and Their Moon Signs," she has gone even a step furthe! r in helping women find out more about their core self, as well as what type of a male she is most likely going to get along well with. Jacquie does this by combining each women's feminine moon self, along with their masculine Sun sign to show the core part of their personality. After this, she compares the core self to all twelve signs of the zodiac to tell how compatible she is with each male. At the end of Jacquie's book she gives the reader a special treat when she provides them with sun and moon signs for the years 1930-2005.
In this book, Jacquie gives a lot of very insightful information and does it in a manner that is very lively and entertaining. When I read about my core self, I felt like she had reached in and touched my soul. If you are interested in finding out more about yourself or hwo to find a better relationship I highly recommend that you buy this book. I believe that this book is useful to men as well as women, as it helps each person understand mor! e about the core part of themself.

3.0 out of 5 stars Accurate and informative but..., February 26, 2001

"pinkied" (Toronto, Ontario) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Women & Their Moon Signs (Paperback)
I had initially purchased this book to add a "moon chart" reference book to my library of astrology books. Since then, I have refered to it many times to uncover moon signs of friends, family etc. I found that the combination moon/sun descriptions were relatively accurate, but had a difficult time interpreting this information for men. I must mention that I was terrible at "English Lit," as it required reading between the lines. That fact should be considered when reading this review. Overall, I am pleased that I now have the reference material that I was looking for, but was hoping for more with regards to interpretations. Moon/Sun combinations are a nice start for beginners seeking to discover compatibility, but for a more detailed analysis, Venus and Mars should also be considered - which I have yet to find.
