Gender-based differences in thinking and behavior exist, including how mammals and human beings react to stress. Understanding a woman's perspective is essential for building agility and resilience in our increasing complex world.

John and Barbara draw on their extensive executive coaching backgrounds to offer insights and strategies for managing stress and anger and other issues that affect women in the working world, as well as dealing with work / life balance. They also bring nuanced perspective to the issue of the many expectations women create for ourselves (our stories) as well as what we experience within our families, friends and networks, based on our daily choices.

Each segment offers a "Putting it into Practice" set of strategies to help you choose from options in making a change in your life. Developing a vision and clarity for your next steps, including "Mastering the Skill of Focusing" is just one of their many gems.

I recommend this useful book to any woman looking to better "seize the day" to create peacefulness, clarity, healthy energy and more joy in her life. ~ D

If you haven't read any time management books before, you'd probably enjoy this and have a few 'ah-ha' moments. I found myself skimming, as there was a lot of information that wasn't anything new to me. I was hoping for more hands on activities to help me find time and how to improve the processes I have.
There is a lot in here about how women are different in their perceptions of themselves and time, but I found it a little basic and at times obvious.
And 'delegate, even if you have to pay for it' is not a time management tip. If I could pay for things to be done around my house, I wouldn't need a book on time management.
having said that, it's not a bad book, just not as thorough and indepth as I was searching for.

This is a well written little book that is easy to read, concise and straight to the point. It provides great insights on how to step beyond the traps that we all tend to fall into when we are trying to get it all done and there is never enough time. I like that this author does not linger endlessly on tropics. But instead provides a lot of information and different perspectives to help create awareness on how we are spending our time and how we can better manage it to make a difference in our lives. A great book, well worth reading!
