5.0 out of 5 stars A Jewel, October 30, 2010
This review is from: Licks of Love (Paperback)
I just finished this jewel. "Rabbit Remembered" should be,in my opinion, required reading in all college English 101 courses. Updike's mastery of the English language, is as usual, breath-taking. The story can stand alone, but to have read at least "Rabbit,Run" would make it even more juicy, as many of the characters are resurrected. The story of peoples' lives, in all their mundane desperateness, aspirations, seeming successes and ultimate futility makes this a most fitting swan song to one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. I LOVED IT!!!
