Surprisingly touching, an ecclectic sampling of styles., December 23, 1998

This review is from: Women on a Wire (Paperback)
WOMEN ON A WIRE was a surprise. One might expect works shared by a group of women who found one another on the internet to be awkward, unprofessional, or even over-simplified. Wrong! These women bare their souls. The poetry ranges from simple honesty to complex reflection, and the caliber is quite good. An unexpected treat, WOMEN ON A WIRE surprised, touched, and delighted me.

From women to women, this online poetry touches us all, November 18, 1998

This review is from: Women on a Wire (Paperback)
The opportunity to share their poetry online has opened many doors to women poets. In the past they often wrote alone with little or no feedback. Their poetry was only shared with the world if it were published. Now the Internet has made it possible for women to share their poetry in a way never before possible. "Women on a Wire" is a wonderful collection of poetry written by women sharing their poetry online. The royalties from the sale of this book are being donated to the 'National Coalition Against Domestic Violence' so each poem in this book is, in a sense, a gift of love to help other women.
