Kris Steinnes is a great inspiration to me through her work with Women of Wisdom, which she founded almost 20 years ago. Over the years Kris and a team of volunteers have brought people from around the world to learn from top spiritual leaders of many perspectives. Her recent award-winning, retrospective book, "Women of Wisdom: Empowering the Dreams and Spirit of Women" captures not only the teachings of many of these wise women leaders, but weaves the story of Women of Wisdom in a way that actually embodies the dreams and spirit of women. The book is beautiful, easy to read, has depth of wisdom, and is inspirational. Kris has taken Women of Wisdom from a strongly traditional leadership style into a shared leadership style, again embodying the teachings of Women of Wisdom and bringing them into practice. Kris is a visionary, leader, spirit-filled woman, who inspires not only me but many people around the world.

I found this book disappointing. The introduction was vague and glowing about the global spiritual women's movement (global being the US, apparently) but seemed like nothing more than a long ad for the WOW conference. I stopped reading, and browsed the rest - more of the same. I was looking for quality writing, interesting ideas, and information not already so familiar to me as to be banal. I didn't find it. Women, with endorsements like you got in the marketing materials you sent me, I expected a lot better. Next time, get an editor with some backbone to ensure that the content is properly edited and concisely written. A shorter, better book would have been preferable to all this well meaning but amateurish fluff.

WOW! The Women of Wisdom book is beautiful, empowering and inspiring. Reading through it my own knowingness was affirmed. I felt both encouraged to continue my work and embraced for the work I do in supporting women through all stages and phases of Womanhood. It is a book that I have and will recommend to those I work with to help them claim their own voice and their true place in this world. The book is so beautiful both visually and through the written words that it sings. Women of Wisdom is truly like having your own personal Women of Wisdom conference. I highly recommend this book.

This is such a wonderfully compiled book of the feminine voice! Kris has done an excellent job of sharing and collecting a variety of articles, opinions, ideas and even art offered by women. The goal of this book to empower the dreams and spirit of women is fulfilled and far surpassed!
