if you are a lady in the air force, these are perfect boots! very comfortable, durable, safe, and within regs. no one looking at them would ever guess they are converse, which is excellent. the zipper has large teeth, which makes me think it will be long lasting.

my only (slight) issue is that one of the boots 'farts' with every step.

These are outstanding boots. Superior to anything available to AAFES in every way. I like the convenience of zipper side boots, and these are the best. The zipper is full length and is extremely durable, unlike many boots I've had over the years that either had teeth shedding issues or the zipper tore away from the fabric. The lining allows them to breath and yet stay amazingly dry, I did not schotch guard mine and have worked in the rain a lot and have never gotten wet feet. The composite toe makes the boots very light and they do not get hot or cold in extreme temperatures like steel toed boots. The only real issue I have is that that soles seemed to wear out faster than normal, but I'm in Korea this year so I'm walking a lot more than normal also. If you require safety toed boots for work I definitely recommend these, with or without zippers.

Love it! I have been using it for a couple months now and finally I have boots that are comfortable to work in. The look might be bulky for women's boot but the comfort is unbeatable. Highly recommend it.

I had serious issues with my feet with military issue boots. After trying several brands of commercially available alternatives, I stumbled across these. Thank God! They are THE most comfortable footwear OF ANY KIND that it has ever been my pleasure to wear. Additionally, the composite safety toe does not make your toes too warm or cold in extreme weather conditions, AND does not trip metal detectors!

these are the cheapest hiking boots i could find. i was thrilled when i got them in the mail - they are so cute! they are also comfy, but the size was a little big. i didn't do any serious hiking in them so i can't say if they would hold up. my only complaint was that the shoelaces were soooo long - i had to cut them shorter!
