I love this coat. This is my third winter wearing it now and it has been worth every penny.
-It stands up to the wind and cold of the midwest and has got me through the winters; which is saying a lot as I don't like the cold.
-It is a good length, long enough to cover my knees but not drag on the floor when hung over a chair
-no hat, gloves, or scarf needed as the hood does an excellent job and the pockets are soft and warm.

I needed a coat to cover my backside and this seemed to fit the bill - I also needed a coat that would not weigh me down and this fit that requirement as well. While I disliked the idea of a big puffy coat, warmth is necessary and required in Wisconsin, so I took a chance on this Parka and lo and behold, I love it! The weight...virtually weighs nothing and yet it is well constructed, warm, and comfortable. The other plus is I don't look horrible in it either. If there is one feature I am not crazy about, it is the hood, but that isn't horrible either and most days I leave it in the closet and carry a cute hat instead. For the blizzard that just hit here in Wisconsin, I did put the hood back on and it kept my hair dry and my head warm and that in the end analysis is what is important!

I got this jacket as an end of season purchase - looking ahead to next year and not wanting to be cold like this past brutal winter. When it came, it was one reason to be grateful for the extended winter we're having here in NY. It is so light weight, that despite it's size, I prefer it to any of my shorter or other material coats. It is instantly warm, but not thick and bulky. It has awesome deep pockets that your gloves will never fall out of. Great buy.

True to size. This coat is classy is so warm! Truly makes the winter much more bearable! Pair these with some cute BOGS boots and you won't even realize it's 10 degrees outside with 30 mph winds and a foot of snow on the ground! Highly recommend!

I found this coat in natural on sale for $137.50 through Backcountry. I ordered it. The next day I received an email stating the item was out of stock, and please let them know if another size/color would suit. I waited forever to chat with someone, and finally my replacement order was ready. Right before I signed off I was told that the new color was not on sale, and that all the sizes and colors that were on sale were now sold out. I can't tell you about the coat, because I never got it, but I can tell you who not to buy it from!
