LA Working Moms Examiner Review: Internationally renowned author and speaker Maureen G. Mulvaney, MGM, began her personal journey to find the truth when she set out to write her latest book, The Women s Millionaire Club. She sought out successful women with the goal of determining how the average woman could also make millions. She says in her book, I felt certain that some industry existed in which women could use their traits to create wealth, live a free lifestyle, and still have time for faith, family and fun.
MGM ruled out corporate women, because not everyone could achieve results without a certain level of experience and education. She ruled out small business women, because they required large amounts of money to purchase a franchise. All of the twenty-one women interviewed in her book were entrepreneurs involved in Direct Selling. They owned home-based businesses that did not require specific educational backgrounds or massive amounts of start-up money. These women managed their own time, took family vacations to all sorts of exotic places, all with their families in tow, Mulvaney exclaims.
Mulvaney uses the term home-based business to include Multi Level Marketing (MLM), network marketing and direct selling. In her book, she writes, Legitimate network marketing companies allow entrepreneurs to grow a home-based business by selling products or services directly to others and recruiting customers to do the same. These individuals earn an income through the sale of valid, viable products and services. Examples of companies that rely on consultants to sell their products include business giants like Avon and Herbalife.
In today s struggling economy, these types of businesses have gained favor among some of the world s leading business moguls. Warren Buffet, Paul Zane, Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump, all advocate Direct Selling as a legitimate way to achieve wealth. Mulvaney quotes Fortune magazine as reporting that direct selling is the best kept secret in the business world...Financial experts say it s a recession-proof industry.
The women millionaires surveyed in the book were randomly chosen from six different companies, all representatives from the direct selling industry. She then narrowed down her subjects to the 21 women featured in the book. She went on to discover their winning secret.
After extensively questioning these women, based on her specific criteria, Mulvaney discovered the key ingredient to success. The most decisive ingredient ...was self development, she writes. Every woman in the club took complete control of their destiny by engaging in a rigorous self-development process.
