Very comfortable fit.

These padded shorts fit perfectly and the padding was just right, not too bulky but enough to make for a more comfortable bike ride and also comfortable to walk in.

I wasn't having problems with the back end since I had also purchased a new seat for my bike that makes a long ride much more comfortable.

I am female, middle-aged, and have just gotten back into biking after about 15 years sitting on my backside in a comfy chair in front of a computer. I could well remember the pain experienced even with a padded seat in my younger years so I bought myself a ladies 26" comfort cruiser that advertised a deluxe "Schwinn wide, padded cruiser saddle". Well, this stock seat is wider at 10" than most stock seats, but it certainly did not prevent pain. I began looking here on Amazon for something to relieve my aching posterior region.

I bought myself a new padded 10" wide saddle and these shorts. The shorts arrived very quickly and about two weeks ahead of the new saddle for some reason but I was very glad that something arrived to help me as I just couldn't face another day riding my bike as it was. The shorts did not disappoint me at all - they were exactly what I had hoped for and needed!
I generally ride an average of about 5-6 miles and I could tell a huge difference for the first ride wearing these. Please note that the pain was not completely gone, but much better. I was able to patiently wait for the new saddle. These shorts are not a cure all for discomfort when you are unaccustomed to riding, but they do help. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have now received my new saddle for the bike and I continue to wear these shorts. The new saddle is much better than my stock seat but even with the combination of these shorts I still feel it after a ride but I can't exactly say it is painful but that I am aware of the experience for some hours. The next day, I am more than ready to ride again!

Sizing/Quality - I am 5' 6" and currently weigh about 175 pounds. Yes I am overweight, which is the reason for the new commitment to bicycling.

I didn't think I'd ever wear those 'tight stretchy' biking shorts. However I found that these shorts truly helped eliminate my muscle fatigue on longer rides as they advertised. I bought a size L, one size larger than I normally wear, because I didn't want to feel like I had on a girdle. I have rather muscular legs. If my thighs were thinner I think a medium would work fine.
Plus - these are made in the USA!

I started biking on weekends 4 months ago. I'm up to 30 mile rides per day and moved from a mountain bike to a road bike. I needed something to help pad my sensitive areas. These work great and are reasonably priced, too. I noticed a few other reviewers commenting on the quality of the sewing, but I've had no issue with these at all. I wash them on "hand wash" setting in cold water, with woolite in my washing machine. Then I hang them to dry and they are ready for me the next weekend. These classic shorts took about 3 rides before I felt they were "broken in" to my body, but maybe that was just me getting used to these since it's my first time with them. I liked them that I ordered a second pair in the royal blue. But beware- if you sweat a lot the lighter colors dont really hide the sweat. So after wearing the royal blue for 30 mile ride it looks like I peed myself! hahaha.. not a big deal if you're not planning on getting off the bike until you get back home or to your car headed for home. I'm a little self-concious about it so I'll probably just wear the royal blue ones under loose shorts or leggings when the weather is cool.

And for those of you ladies wondering, bike shorts like this are designed to be worn without underwear. Once I learned that they became much more comfy as well!

For an additional $10 you can by the Women's Pro Bike Short Padded for Cycling - Made in USA which I find more comfortable than these. The padding is not as stiff and it seems to conform to my body much better which makes it more comfortable for the ride.

overall I'd recommend these shorts if you're on a budget, but if you want a better fit and feel spend the extra $10 and get the pro style.

Well, I just started my spin class couple of weeks ago. The first week was a nightmare for me because I used to wear a regular shorts with no padding. And then I search online about shorts with padding and not costing a lot. I found this and it helps a lot. Making my class more enjoyable. Great product with great price. Highly recommended. I own 2 pairs.

I bought these shorts for my wife who rides her mountain bike to school. The trip is 30 minutes each day. After ONE day, the area where the shorts rub the seat is rubbed through and ripping. And even before she put them on, we could see they were made very cheaply - the padding was put in misaligned and the shorts weren't very comfortable -- but note that this problem with the padding is completely separate from the material ripping. One star, wasted money - too bad. I wish I could exchange them.

Very nice shorts! They fit well and the material is very light and not hot! They also have a lot of padding and the color is great.

Wow, what a difference riding my bike. I'm not a cyclist to be sure, but these shorts made me understand how you could be - much more comfortable than even gel bike seats (which I have) and a fleece cover over that!

If you want to just try a lower cost padded bike short - these are the ones!
