extreme comfort!, March 1, 2011
I've owned two pair of these shoes over the years and they're wonderful! When you first buy them they will fit very tightly across the top of the foot; they're VERY comfortable to wear right out of the box, just difficult to get on at first but this soon loosens up. Each pair that I have owned has lasted several years with near daily wear with lots of getting wet/muddy & stepping in things at livestock shows that we don't like to think about. They clean right up and are ready to go anywhere. I wear them for everyday, shopping, casual day at the office, feeding livestock, and going to my kids stockshows(LOTS of walking, standing, grooming, etc.) The lighter color doesn't show scuffing as much as the darker color, but the darker color looks better with dark-wash jeans. They're both great, though, and I would highly recommend these to anyone needing long-wearing, comfortable, workhorse-but-still-look-good shoes.

I have had at least 6 pairs of these shoes, over the years. They used to come in many colors, blue, dark brown faux ostrich etc. These are the best shoes, and sadly getting very hard to find. There is no break-in period, they do get easier to slip on and off as time goes by. There is plenty of clearance across the top of my foot, unlike other brands I have tried that LOOK similar to these. The leather inside lining is wonderful. I hope Roper continues to make these, but seems they may be fazing them out. That is why there is no 7.5 I bought them all.
